Context
Analysis of big collections of georeferenced crowdsourcing information (e.g., tweets) and GIS data provided by the Copernicus Emergency Management Service to support
- short-term flood and fire forecasting
- early planning of disaster risk reduction actions
State-of-the-art emergency management systems do not integrate big heterogeneous data (e.g., tweets, satellite-based data) to perform nowcasting in the flood in fire field.
Goal
Design of a (GIS) Big Data infrastructure to support flood and fire forecasting.
The solution will be based on Big data architectures for GIS data
