Education

1997 – 2004 – Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy. Master of Science in Computer Engineering. Thesis title: “Algorithms for classification of sequential data”.
2005 – 2008 – Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy. Doctorate Research Course in “Information and System Engineering”.

Professional

I’m Ph.D. at the Faculty of Engineering in Information Technologies of the Politecnico di Torino. I’m assistant for the course on Data warehousing and data mining.

Research activity

My current research interests are in the field of databases, and more specifically on data mining, and bioinformatics. In particular, in the data mining area, my activities are focused on methodologies and algorithms for association rule extraction specific for genetic database.
Since 2005, I’ve also collaborated to a project on data integration for CINECA and MIUR (State Education Office) to create and manage a data warehouse for analysing the italian university system.
