Reading Group – Edition 2025

Reading Group – Edition 2025

One of the Lab’s exciting goals for 2025 is to restart our much-loved Reading Group 🎉.

What is a Reading Group?

It is an informal gathering where participants discuss research papers or topics of interest related to our specific fields. The main goals are to:

  • Stay updated on recent advancements, trends, or influential works.
  • Learn from each other by sharing insights, perspectives, and expertise.
  • Foster collaboration and idea exchange among members of the group.
  • Improve presentation and critical analysis skills by summarizing and discussing complex research material.

In our case, each session will feature a presentation from a vibrant community member, including PhD students, Postdocs, and research enthusiasts (everyone can join!). Presenters can share:

  • A paper they’ve recently read that’s relevant to their research—whether it’s cutting-edge or a classic that’s influential in our field.
  • A paper they’ve authored (submitted, in-progress, or published) to showcase their ideas and gather valuable feedback.
  • A mix of the two!

Who can join the meetings?

We welcome anyone interested in our topics! PhD students from other groups or departments, as well as bachelor’s and master’s students, are invited to join our discussions. If you’d like, you can even propose a paper for future sessions or present one yourself.

The Reading Group will follow a hybrid format, with in-person meetings held in a department meeting room and the option to participate remotely via Zoom.

To stay updated, don’t forget to join the mailing list!
